Interesting review! I read the story as less about solipsism (although it is all about the character's own mind and fantasies) than celebrating the possibilities that imagination offers and then exploring the juxtaposition between what goes in our minds what is really happening. I do agree about the story's craft -- I admired this collection a lot.
