Agree. I'm usually a fan of Clooney's work, both as an actor and as a director, but this was terrible. I walked out of the theater thinking, "If I ever meet George Clooney, we are going to have a long conversation about this movie." What particularly bothered me is that it was only tangentially about politics. A political campaign was the setting, but it could have been any organization. But they clearly THOT that they were making a profound statement about politics. Such intentions, when they fail, become pretension.
